The 4th Mariachi Festival Canada is looking for Volunteers.
We are looking for motivated individuals who want to learn more about México its music and its culture, during the 4th MARIACHI FESTIVAL CANADA , to be host in Vancouver from May 3rd to May 9th 2011.
You will have the opportunity to:
Meet and make new friends from GUATEMALA, SALVADOR, MEXICO,USA and CANADA.
Promote, Engage and be part of this amazing Mariachi Festival, to practice your Spanish and much more.
The categories of volunteers wanted:
- Photography
- Event coordination
- Video editing/production skills
- Graphic design skills
- Expert user of social media tools like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter
- Video filming and sound production
- Flexible schedule
- Sponsoring / Fundraising experience
The hours of work are flexible but a starting at 10 hours per week increasing as event approaches. Work can be done mostly from home but sometimes attendance to meetings and events is required. The right individual will be able to work with different staff and volunteer and will be able to multitask.
Qualifications:
No Festival experience required, Flexible schedule, willing to travel out of town English - written and spoken. Spanish - ( not necessary but highly recommended ) Organizers of the Mariachi Festival Canada will be happy to cover food, local transportation and accommodation if required ( in the event of a performance out of town) .
